Flocki was born from a "bulldogge" named Tom, coming from Brema and then acquired from dott. Toenniessen of Munich, and from a female of imprecise breed, Alt's Scheckin, surely coming from that breed of middle size molossian, one time diffused in Germany with the name of "bullenbeisser" .

Specify that the "German bulldogge" is not to identify as the "modern English bulldog", it appeared such as the original molossian of midle size similar at the  present american bulldog.

The breed that seems to be born from causal and lucky cocktail, takes origins from the dream and from the obstinacy to  give back to the life to a dog almost becomed extinct, but well deeply rooted in German culture.

They would like to restore that midle size molossian, one time employed   to the hunt of big wild prey, to the charge of the flock and of the rural farmhouse, besides to man's  company and protection, the origin of these dog, cames back to the civilization's dawns.

Certainly in that times the boxer did not exist, but is realistic derive from  archeological remains  and from the images transfered frome somes bass-relief, that Celtic peoples, the Romans and the Greeks, had knowledge and bred  stong and solid molossian, destined for hunting of  big wild animals, for the guard, for safeguard and after also for the war; the Giulio Cesare's Romans legions applayed war dogs in Britannia in 55 a.c., and here encountered huge molossians with a wide mouth defined from the sames legionnaires "pugnaces".

Going back on the boxer's bitrh, in the year 1894 an officier of  the Greman colonial army taked up residence in Munich, mr. Friederich Roberth, dog-lover, that was interested in dog's preparation for army  use.

At Munich Roberth was familiar with Erald Konig and Rudolf Hopner, both fighted for use the Airedale terrier, breed of dog selected from the English that  trained an used this dog for the war.

In that period the Germans showed their expansionit and colonial target and they had a strong anxiety to create and to select breed of dogs autochthon, in effect in 1893 Max von Stephanitz, cavalry captain, began the selection of German Sheep dog, and sames years late, in 1899, her Doberman created the breed of dogs that has his name.

Going back to ours three enthusiasts their dog's ideal was a molossian of midle size, represented at that time from the "bierboxer", with the power and the functionality of the "bullenbeisser", an almost extinct molossian of foremost size, that in XVIII century acquired a great fame for the deeds of Tyras the molossain faithful companion of Mathias Klostermaier, a famous brigand leading man of a romantic and  tragic story.

In synthesis a strong dog, austere and proud and above all loyal and reliable to be used also for  army purpose.

The member's general meeting of the German Boxer Club, on July the 14 of the year 1902, defined he first breed's standard that was updated in the years 1905, 1920 (was increased the  size), in the year 1925 (was locked out the subject with black or white mantle) and after, in the year 1938, were locked the spotted boxer.
